Everything starts from within. All the outcomes of our lives, the quality of our relationships, our karma, and epitaph; each and all emanate from our core.
However, like modern medicine, modern society has it backwards. Today we focus on the symptoms and ignore the root cause of our ailments. We forgo healthy habits and instead feast on junk food and less-than-savory TV until one day we wear out, fall sick, and crash and burn. Only then do we decide to get help and see the doctor.
We receive our prescription and take our medicine to get better but of course, its’ only a temporary fix. We continue the bad habits, get sick again, and partake in damaging medicines to get well versus simply eating and living a better life!

Kindness
Everybody says the people they remember most, were those that were kind.
Not only—the one quality elder people say they wish they had used more in their life was kindness.
May kindness be your #1 tool used toward building better karma as well as a better universe.
“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle.” ― Plato.
Humility
Gaining humility is a sure sign of conquering yourself—overcoming your pride and ego.
Give it a try. It feels great!
No longer chained by yourself, you are free to help others and be a true leader. A beacon of selflessness and goodness admired by all.
“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.” ― Ernest Hemingway.
Love
They say love is the most powerful force in universe. It’s easy to see why.
Love is the purest of all emotions and in its true expression is unconditional. It accepts things as they are and does not try to push things about or unduly change them. Pure love does not distort things and lets them be as they want and are.
This is what we all want. Thus giving it to others is one of the greatest acts of human grace. Give it as much as you can and lift someone else’s life to the heavens.
“Spread love everywhere you go first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor. Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness. Kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting.” ― Mother Teresa.
Peace of Mind
There’s only one true path to happiness and it’s through you.
Until you are at peace with yourself, you will never be at peace with others or the world…..
Gratitude
Give thanks frequently and copiously, to food, bountifulness, existence, nature, good fortune, loved ones, successes, and career. By doing so, you’ll shake the tree of good fortune and release its plentiful payload in ways both seen and unseen, lifting yourself, others, and the rest of the universe to a higher plane of existence.
“Walk as if you are kissing the Earth with your feet.” ― Thich Nhat Hanh
“If the only prayer you said was thank you, that would be enough.” ― Meister Eckhart
Compassion
When we act compassionately, we achieve one of life’s greatest accomplishments.
Compassion is when we’re able to emphasize with others, see beyond ourselves, and assist others. Getting beyond ourselves to help others in need, is the stuff of saints we should all strive to emulate.

Choose the Finer Things
To ensure that your experience of life and your worldview are as wide and beautiful as they can be, fill your life with the best of everything. As the best of the best are often far removed from
mainstream culture, you’ll need to dedicate time to seeking them out. The rewards will be well worth the effort as they open up countless passageways to Wonder, knowledge, and pleasurable experience—things such as creative passion, music, philosophy, poetry, literature, inspired science, art, great ideas, religion, and mysticism. They are the heart and soul of man’s collective psyche and some of the greatest creations the universe has to offer.
“Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colors flowers, so does art color life.” ― John Lubbock, The Pleasures of Life
Care for the Planet
One of the greatest tragedies of the modern era is just how much we’ve separated ourselves from nature—and just how much damage it’s reeking.
Long are the days when men look to the earth, sky, and heavens to find meaning, purpose, and our fortune. Today we just see her as the means to our ends—and something to conquer, when in fact she provides everything we need to survive and flourish. By taking from her relentlessly and giving nothing back we’re hurting ourselves, but especially robbing future generations and exposing them to untold calamities yet to come.
Contemplate the fact nature provides everything we are (indeed you are fully manufactured byproduct of her!—how could you think anything else?); and you will begin to change your attitude toward, and how you treat her.
“Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.” ― Anonymous
See the Beauty in All Things
Beauty resides everywhere. Because you don’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not there. It’s just that you don’t take the time to look, have been blinded by life’s chaotic pace, or have never been taught to recognize it.
Where are life’s beauties located? Mostly everywhere about you—in the heart and soul of nature’s most dazzling creations. They are in the brilliant radiance of flowers, rainbows and sunsets, a sparkling glacier, temples, and infinite stars on a moonless night. They are in crystals, a mother’s patience‚ waterfalls, mountain Vistas, Van Gogh’s skies, and the bliss of a child’s smile. They are in the words of Whitman, Goethe, Lao Zhu, and many other great minds
and artists. They are where truth, meaning, and purpose reside. They are God’s smile shining brightly through her brightest creations.
Take the time to see the beauty in all and raise your experience to the enchanted.
“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.” ― Confucius
Get Closer to Nature
Nature offers the greatest well of spiritual energy we can experience. I like to label nature my temple because of the spiritual refreshment it provides. In fact, spending time in nature is the best means of fostering feelings of well-being, whether as a seeker of higher awareness or a general connoisseur of good health.

Be Brave
A mother’s advice to her daughter (in the movie Cinderella) was “Be Kind and Be Brave”. This is in face a very deep truth. We should follow our core disposition of being kind at all times however we also need to be prepared and brave. There are a lot of people of there that, for whatever reason, are not kind and act aggressively, angrily, and improperly. This is when we need to be brave–to stand up in the face of cruelty, meanness, and ignorance to protect ourselves and others.
“Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world…would do this, it would change the earth.” ― William Faulkner
“In a time of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” ― George Orwell
“When i despair, i remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it–always.” ― Mahatma Gandhi
